Rita White

Rita White is a Clinical and Environmental Psychologist, Registered EuroPsy Psychologist, and Founder of the Italian Academy of Biophilia (AIB). She is also a researcher, lecturer, consultant, author and TEDx speaker. She has held psychology and research roles at King’s College London, University College London, Imperial College London, the University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore. She teaches Environmental Psychology at Istituto Marangoni Dubai. She is a Scientific Committee member of the Italian Society of Environmental Medicine (SIMA), a WELL Mind Advisor at the International WELL Building Institute, a Commissioner of the Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air, and a Partner of the Biophilic Cities Network. She is the author of Working with Fractals and co-author of Rinascere nel Verde: Perché la Biofilia può renderci felici (Reborn in Green: Why Biophilia Can Make Us Happy), and serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Environmental Medicine.

Rita was named one of Fortune Italia’s Most Powerful Women in 2023 and is both a recipient and juror of the Stephen R. Kellert Biophilic Design Award. She was the promoter of Verona’s recognition as Italy’s first Biophilic City and is the promoter of Nature Prescriptions Italy.
